Free Wifi for Everybody

Less than 2 weeks to go. Need any more info on our speakers and agenda?
So lets talk about Wifi. With 20,000 attendees it’s imperative that we put everything in place so that everybody has access to great Wifi for the 3 days. So here’s what we’re going to do:
We’ll provide free wifi to all delegates at the Web Summit on the 5Ghz frequency band throughout the venue. We will have a limited number of hotspots throughout the venue where we’ll also be providing wifi on the 2.4Ghz frequency band.

This means that older devices may not see the wifi in the larger spaces at the event.

(There are USB 5Ghz wifi adapters readily available at reasonable prices. We’ll also have some for sale at the event)

We’re asking that you don’t set up your own hotspot – this includes:
  • MiFi
  • Wireless access points
  • Wireless routers
  • Using your phone as a portable wifi hotspot
If we see people broadcasting a wifi signal which interferes with the public wifi we reserve the right to disable the connection to that device and if we don’t receive cooperation from the operator they may be asked to leave the venue.
If you connect to the network at the Web Summit you are agreeing to the terms of access available here.
