Surf Summit Is Back

Surf Summit’s coming back. And it’s taking place straight after #WebSummit 2015. [Insert Tech-Surf pun here]! We’re delighted to announce Sligo as the host town. Let’s take a look at last year.

Last November, more than 200 investors, start-ups and entrepreneurs made their way to the Surf Summit in Westport, Co Mayo – the Adventure Capital of Ireland

Big wave surfer Andrew Cotton, attempting to break the world record for the largest wave ever ridden, and pro-surfer Anastasia Ashley both spoke. Other attendees included Irish Prime Minister Enda Kenny, Jimmy Gopperth and Jonny Miller of Tribe, John Huikku of Brown Bag Films, Chris Kelly and Richard Welsh of Big Balls Media, Brendan O’Driscoll, Aidan Sliney and Craig Watson of Soundwave.

Attendees took to the waves of Achill for surfing and kitesurfing, before other awesome things like zorbing, ziplining and archery tag.

Fancy coming surfing with international tech CEO’s, investors, media and more? We’ll see you at Surf Summit ’15. Tickets on sale now for Web Summit. Stay tuned for more news about tickets for Surf Summit.
