A small city making big tech waves

It’s an exciting time to be a startup in Northern Ireland. There’s some great companies making an impact right now – then there’s others like Komodo, Sian’s Plan, Comprized and Little Deli App who look poised to go on to great things.

Aside from great companies, there’s even greater support emerging from within the community. Friday Night Mashup is a grassroots networking series that aims to connect, engage and inspire Northern Ireland’s tech talent… and The Summit are partnering up with the Mashup organisers for a big event this Friday, the Belfast Pub Summit.

The next Friday Night Mashup takes place at Titanic’s Dock and Pumphouse in the Northern Ireland Science Park on Friday March 28th. There’s going to be a four-way pitch contest, beer from the amazing Brewbot and two awesome speakers .

The first mashup took place in November and seemed to be received pretty well. That might have had something to do with high quality insight from folks like The Summit’s own Paul McDonnell, some great demo companies or it might have been the free beer.

Either way, the formula worked and they’re back again on Friday March 28. Thinking about getting tickets, check out the highlight reel from November:

Stephen Houston, an Angel Investor at Halo will be speaking on the night, as will founder of the Acorn Incubator, Tom Griffiths.

So make sure to join this awesome event on March 28th in Titanic Pump House. The Mashup is run by entrepreneurs for entrepreneurs and it provides a great opportunity to meet with other entrepreneurs, tech enthusiasts, investors and media, all while enjoying free food and a few drinks!
