You’d be hard pushed to find a Web Summit attendee who went back to their hotel after a day on the RDS floor. How could they miss Night Summit?
Hopefully you’re all half-well rested at this stage – sure why not relive the craic and divilment of Night Summit 2015.
The Opening Party
Arnoud here had the right idea. Off the plane and (pretty much) straight on to our opening party on Dublin’s Fade Street.
On Monday, November 2 – the night before Web Summit – we set up shop in Hogans, the Market Bar and Fade Street Social from 8pm till late-ish.
We drew a bit of a crowd, as you can see.
Night Summit – Night 1: Copper Face Jacks
Without Night Summit, poor Ornat here would still have never experienced Copper Face Jacks – Coppers as we all call it here in Dublin.
It’s Ireland’s most famous nightclub – for my money, the best – and we hooked up with our pals at Orderella to throw a serious party inside.
Tinder CEO Sean Rad came along, and Coppers went down a treat with the Web Summit crowd…
Night Summit – Night 2: Dame Lane
I took a wee wander into town for Night Two of Night Summit and had never seen such a buzz around Dame Lane.
We had a New Orleans-themed party in the Mercantile in honour of our US event Collision‘s move to NOLA next year, complete with live jazz.
We were based around Dame Lane and Dame Court and Web Summiters were jumping in and out of Sweeney’s, 4 Dame Lane, Bankers and all the other tasty bars in the area.
A grand night altogether.
Our Closing Party
When it 5pm on Thursday, November 5, after Ed Catmull had finished up speaking proceedings on Centre Stage, there was only one thing to do.
We headed over to Camden Street, to Opium and Whelan’s to celebrate Web Summit 2015.
How else would you cap it all off?
Night Summit. Sure it had it all. We’ll leave the last word to Emma-Jane…
In case you hadn’t guessed, that’s a term of affection over here.
