3 weeks ago we announced the Web Summit ‘Make a Mascot’ Competition in association with the brilliant makers of Candy Crush, King. The competition closed at 5pm (Dublin Time) on Friday, October 17th and we were bowled over with the quality of entries and the response rate. After our judges chose a shortlist of 5 from the entries, we put it to our Facebook fans to choose which mascot they felt would best represent Web Summit 2014.
It was an exciting 3 days of voting with a tight race that was neck and neck at times, but there could only be one winner. And so, we are delighted to announce that the Web Summit 2014 Mascot is WeBot, created by Maggie Tan.
WeBot will now be made into a 3D installation that will be on display at the event. Maggie will also receive two free tickets to Web Summit, as well as an awesome Jawbone Up. Have a look at WeBot below as well as the other great designs that were in the race to becoming Web Summit’s Next Top Mascot.
