Calling all Web Summit attendees: make sure to assign your ticket as soon as possible.
Coming to Web Summit this November? Make sure you assign your tickets by October 31 to gain access into Web Summit and see all the talks from the likes of Tinder CEO Sean Rad, GE CMO Linda Boff and actor and founder of HitRECord Joseph Gordan-Levitt.
To assign your ticket, click the link in your confirmation email you received when you purchased the ticket. If you have trouble finding the link, contact firstname.lastname@example.org and we will help you.
Sometimes circumstances change and you can no longer attend. It happens. Don’t fret if you bought a ticket but can’t make it anymore – you can reassign your ticket to a friend, colleague or family member. Or, if that doesn’t suit, you can email email@example.com to transfer your ticket to Web Summit 2017.
Can I resell my ticket?
While you are free to reassign a ticket you have purchased, you cannot resell a ticket you have obtained. Regardless of changes in travel arrangements, work plans or anything else that arises, you cannot resell a ticket nor reassign a ticket for commercial gain.
Reselling a ticket will result in the ticket being void. The ticket holder will not gain entry to the event, as stated in our T&Cs, which all ticket holders have accepted. This is also true for all subsidised tickets such as Open Source, Women in Tech and Student Scholarship tickets.
And this goes beyond our T&Cs – reselling tickets for commercial gain is an offence under Portuguese law, punishable by up to three years in prison. And we really don’t want anyone to visit Lisbon for Web Summit and end up in jail.
Furthermore, you cannot reassign ALPHA, BETA and START startup packages. However, if you cannot attend, please advise your startup mentor who can transfer your package to another one of our events.
Assign your ticket to Web Summit now and we’ll see you soon in Lisbon!
