Here to help – Introducing our 1,468 Volunteers

Over the course of the next week the Web Summit volunteer team will come together and play a hugely important role in the execution of Europe’s Largest Technology Event ever. Led by our super volunteer management team Barbara Cahill & Ger Murphy – the 2014 volunteers are among the most talented, enthusiastic and helpful people you will ever meet!

Throughout the week they will be here to help, point you in the right direction, offer guidance, register you, talk to you and offer you a friendly smiles.

This year we have 1,468 Volunteers – that’s right – 1,468 people. Over the course of Web Summit week this group will cover 4,074 shifts, from Dublin Airport – to Web Summit, to Food Summit, then on to Night Summit. They will put in a combined 19,840 hours over the 4 days.

Here’s some demographics: 51% of volunteers are male, 49% female. Volunteers are flying in from all over the world – with 6 continents covered.

So keep an eye out for the Fuchsia t-shirts throughout the event – and remember… We’re here to help to make your experience an enjoyable one!

P.S Don’t forget to say Hi!
