In the run up to the Web Summit we’ll be hosting a series of discussions with past attendees, industry leaders, media, investors and speakers on how startups can make the Summit work for them.
We’ll broadcast these panels on Google Hangouts with two or three panelists joining Paddy for a thirty minute discussion. Startups can use the questions app on Hangouts to join the conversation. The first of the series will take place on Monday, October 7th at 5pm GMT (9amPST/12pmEST). We’re delighted to be joined by three incredible entrepreneurs who are Web Summit and founders veterans;
Alex Hawkinson – CEO of SmartThings. SmartThings took the Web Summit by storm last year, joining START and winning the startup competition. Alex went on to raise $3m in the month after the Summit.
Matthew Brimer – Co-founder of General Assembly. Matt runs community and partnerships at General Assembly, a campus for technology, design, and entrepreneurship in NYC he co-founded in 2010.
Matt Galligan – Co-founder of Circa. A serial entrepreneur Matt founded SocialThing and SimpleGeo whilst acting as a mentor for Techstars, Code For America, FounderFuel and Boom Startup.
