This year Web Summit attendees will send more than 1 million messages to each other.
At Web Summit 2015, surveyed attendees said more than 90 percent of their meetings were scheduled using the app.
We’ve looked at our data on how people use our app to figure out the best ways for you to contact the people you need to meet using our app.
How long should your message be?
Long first messages don’t work. Keep them as short as a tweet.
Responded to first messages were on average less than 19 words long, while unresponded to messages were on average over 35 words long. Keep it short. Make it very personal. Don’t send generic messages.
A little help from your friends
You can increase your chance of getting a reply from someone by getting one of your friends to intro you in a group chat. Remember that you can start group chats with anyone on the app.
We have sensitive spam alerts within the app. Be sure to consider the messages you’re sending and the number you send. Our automated spam system will be happy. We’ve seen that sending the same message to multiple people doesn’t work. Our spam bot will be on patrol.
It’s good to talk. Don’t forget that chat is also available on the web app.
