Calling Irish Startups

Fly around the world with Web Summit’s Go Global Competition

(Go Global Competition is now closed)

Are you less than 3 years old and raised less than €3 million in funding? Fancy being flown around the world to meet and be mentored by the world’s top tech entrepreneurs, investors and media? Sounds like you should consider entering Web Summit’s Go Global competition.

Over the last 5 years, since Web Summit first started as a little 400 person conference, a new wave of incredibly promising startups have emerged from Ireland. Over the same time period the team at Web Summit have built incredible relationships with many of the world’s leading tech entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, journalists and more who attend our events around the world. From investors like Google Ventures and Index Capital, to entrepreneurs like the founders of Dropbox and Uber, to journalists like the editors of the Wall Street Journal and the Financial Times. Now we want to connect these two world’s, our global network to Ireland’s growing startup ecosystem, and help accelerate the next wave of breakout Irish startups.

We want to help the next Liam Casey, the next Patrick Collison, the next Oisin Hanrahan by plugging them into our global network. That’s what our Go Global competition is about.

You may have heard of our new sister events, Collision in Las Vegas and RISE our first event in Asia. We are on the hunt for three early stage Irish Startups to sponsor and take to these events. We’ll make sure you maximise every minute of your time there.

The three chosen winners will receive all-expenses-paid trips to both conferences. Yes, ALL expenses –  meaning we’ll cover your flights, hotels and tickets. Over the next six months, we will work closely with each of the selected startups to provide direct introductions to world-class journalists, world-beating entrepreneurs, potential customers, partners and many of the world’s leading investors. Winners will also get the chance to be mentored by some of the most successful entrepreneurs out there.

To top it all off, come November, the three winning Irish startups will appear on the main stage at Web Summit, to talk about their companies in front of nearly 6,000 international delegates. They will also become part of the renowned START program, with 150 startups, where they will have their own exhibition stand.

Applications close next Friday, so apply here to embark on this exciting journey with us. Good luck!
