Web Summit is taking place next week and it is not just startups who will be joining us in Lisbon. Some of the world’s largest and most influential companies will be exhibiting.
We are delighted to welcome back Braintree to Web Summit this year with their pioneering “all of the payments, none of the pulp” exhibition stand. Braintree will be providing thirsty attendees with fresh juice on demand.
The idea behind this stand is to outline how crucial it is in today’s world of fast-moving competition that businesses focus more on improving their checkout process and removing all of the “junk”.
Does your company suffer from cart abandonment? Well Braintree are happy to chat about your company’s checkout flow and offer incremental improvements that can make a big difference.
Be sure to catch Harper Reed, the head of commerce at Braintree on the FullSTK stage at 3.05pm on November 9.
Web Summit will host the Nasdaq bell for the fourth consecutive year this November, marking the end of trading for that day. It will be the first time that the Nasdaq opening bell is rung in Portugal.
To catch the bell being rung, come along to the Centre Stage talk with the Nasdaq CEO, Bob Greifeld, at 1.45pm on November 9, where he will be discussing the landscape of Venture Capital over the next two years. After his talk, stay for the ringing of the bell.
McKinsey & Company
McKinsey & Company go far beyond traditional consulting.
“We are at Web Summit because we, too, understand the speed and nature of innovation across all industries that Web Summit’s attendees are achieving.”
At Web Summit, McKinsey will have an interactive space that highlights a number of their digital capabilities. They will also be meeting companies one-on-one through the New Ventures team to explore ways to work with new innovators from around the world.
McKinsey will also be looking for new talent, and holding recruiting workshops that can help those interested in working with them see where their skills can fit. Be sure to visit McKinsey & Company at stand 882 in pavilion 1, outside Centre Stage.
