One week until Web Summit kicks off. Here’s what’s happening from November 4th-6th
We have exciting news for car enthusiasts, as the official car sponsor of Web Summit 2014, Audi Ireland will be launching the new A3 e-tron, the brand’s first plug-in hybrid model at the event.
“Vorsprung durch Technik” is the core belief that drives the development of every Audi vehicle. It inspires the innovative solutions and revolutionary engineering, some of which Audi are showcasing at Web Summit under the theme “Audi Innovative Thinking.” Web Summit attendees will have the opportunity to experience the A3 Sportback e-tron, the brands first plug-in hybrid. Audi will discuss their latest pilotless-driving concept, and experience a virtual reality flying lap of the Silverstone circuit in an Audi S1.
This engaging hybrid experience will be available to Web Summit goers through an ‘e-tron shuttle’ service. The shuttle service will run between RDS and Simmonscourt during the event. If you want to be among the first in Ireland to test ride the all-new A3 Sportback e-tron than stay tuned to @audiireland and visit the Audi Zone in the Town Square at Web Summit for more details. Don’t forget to tweet #A3etron from your shuttle service to win Audi goodies!
That’s not all, Uber users can schedule the all-new A3 Sportback e-tron through Uber, the app that connects riders with drivers. When you open the Uber app, you set your pickup location as normal. Then, using a promo code that you can get at the Audi Zone, you can select an A3 e-tron for your complimentary experience. We expect these cars to be high in demand so if you do not get one the first time, keep trying. Terms and conditions apply.
Visit the Audi Zone located in the Town Square to enjoy our complimentary treats and experience Oculus Rift, the latest in virtual reality technology. In the new Audi S1, experience the ultimate virtual reality experience as you feel like you are on a hot lap of the world-renowned Silverstone circuit, being driven by three-times Le Mans Winner Allan McNish.
Finally we want to announce that on Tuesday 4th November, Andreas Reich, Head of Audi’s Electronic Predevelopment, will take to the Machine Stage to discuss Audi’s latest ground-breaking concept, the RS 7 piloted driving concept. The Audi RS 7 piloted driving concept raced around Hockenheimring in Germany without a driver reaching speeds of up to 240 kmph.
Be sure to make a visit to the Audi Zone at Web Summit 2014 and be amazed at the Audi experience.
