Announcing the winners of a Mando Footloose bike

Join the start of something great. Meet us in Lisbon 2016.

Back in October, we teamed up with Mando Footloose to give you guys the chance to win one of the slickest electric bikes going.

Some of the Web Summit staff got a chance to take a spin on one of these bikes last week, and trust us, these bikes can go.

To win, all you had to do was tweet us a picture of you starting you journey to Web Summit.

We received about 250 entries to the competition that really reflected just how international Web Summit 2015 was.

The Mando Footloose on Web Summit Centre Stage.

It was a trip for us here in Web Summit HQ to get your snaps from Mexico, Barbados, Serbia, India, the US, the Czech Republic  and Termonfeckin.

(As he said himself, it is actually a really place).

We had to choose just one winner to take the prize of a €2,700 Mando electric bike. Let’s take you out of your suspense…

Third Place

County Louth is known as ‘the Wee County’ – it’s the smallest county in Ireland. The guys at GAAther have built the first social network for Gaelic games fans, so it was fairly fitting they started their journey from their local Gaelic pitch in Collon, County Louth.

Second Place

Areeba came to Web Summit with Fretbay, a French startup that helps people find transport solutions up to 75 percent cheaper than market prices. Areeba joined us from Paris and she went all out and got her pose on for our competition.

Our Winner

The guys from Floown joined our ALPHA programme this year – they’re helping people in the construction and engineering industries find the jobs they’ll love.

The came to Dublin all the way from Leiden in the Netherlands, birthplace of one of Europe’s greatest ever painters: Rembrandt.

We couldn’t pass on this nice little bit of culture and we’ve decided to give them the nod. Enjoy your Mando Footloose bike, guys.

Come to Lisbon for half price. Register for two discounted tickets.
