With that many talks, startups and everything else in between, the odd Web Summit happening may just slip by you.
I’ve got you covered, though.
Here are five off-the-beaten-track bits of craic that you might’ve missed today:
A sock tribute to Stewart Butterfield and Slack
— Paddy G ♛ (@ThePadman) November 3, 2015
If you’re one of our Web Summit startups, there’s a decent chance you’ve been chatting to our boy Paddy Griffith. He’s our Startups Manager and a bit of a buck when it comes to Twitter.
Paddy was fairly excited about Slack Co-Founder Stewart Butterfield‘s appearance on Web Summit Stage Centre and decided to show him some love the only way he knew how – with a pair of fairly fetch Slack socks.
Poppin’ that Nerf gun with Zalando at Builders
Get down to Builders and test your aim with Zalando. If you manage to hit their targets with a Nerf gun you can win a variety of Zalando-themed prizes. Miss, and you still get a high five.
Fully immerseive VR with Jaunt in Simmonscourt
Be sure to take Jaunt’s VR demo for a test drive in Simmonscourt. This fella didn’t know where he was at all, the experience is that immersive.
The Movember crew sorting us out with hot-towel shaves
I’ve been experimenting with a (slightly dodgy) tache for the last month or so. I’ve been getting awful abuse about it from my Mum, so I know she’ll be only sickened I didn’t stop with the Movember crew and get a shave down in Builders.
If you’re going to do Movember properly, you’ve go to start with a clean slate. What better way to do that than with a hot-towel shave at Web Summit.
F-Secure’s Shebeen in Builders
A shebeen is the Irish name for an illicit bar – it’s our version of a speakeasy, basically. The guys at F-Secure set one up in Builders this afternoon.
