Samantha Barry – CNN
For years Samantha has used social media to share breaking stories with the world, working for the BBC World Service before becoming the Head of Social Media at CNN. At CNN, she is responsible for managing the social media team and has been tasked with reimagining the iReport platform. Originally from Cork, Samantha has worked around the world as a media trainer, and is now based in New York. Samantha works alongside Andrew Morse, Head of Digital at CNN, who will also be speaking at Web Summit.
Edwin van der Sar – Ajax
Edwin is best known as a soccer star whose career saw him play for Manchester United, Fulham and Ajax as goalkeeper. He enjoyed an incredible career during which he won numerous awards, including Best European Goalkeeper in 1995 and 2009. After retiring from professional soccer, he came back to where it all began, Ajax, to work as the CMO for the club.
Jonathan Hunt – Vox Media
Jonathan is the Global Vice President of Marketing and Partnerships at Vox Media, a digital media company that owns brands such as The Verge and Re/code. In this role, Jonathan is responsible for ensuring that the traffic to Vox Media brands continues to grow. Before Vox Media, Jonathan was the Global Marketing Director at VICE.
Meagen Eisenberg – MongoDB
Meagen is the CMO of MongoDB, a document database that has been used by businesses such as Facebook and MTV. Meagen has over 19 years of experience in the tech industry. We caught up with Meagen to discuss her views on women in tech and what’s next for MongoDB.
