Dublin in November? Too good to miss.
So what is the Startup University Summit? Well in short it’s one of the 21 Summits at Web Summit & will feature an exciting and disruptive mix of industry veterans, top venture capitalists, the most sought after accelerators and successful entrepreneurs.
World leading founders and CEOs will share insights into their own journeys in ways which will aim to educate and inspire the audience.
The six tracks at Startup University Summit are:
- Launch – How to launch your startup
- Scale – How to scale your startup
- Product – How to build your product
- Team – How to build your team
- Raising – How to raise funds
- Culture – How to create company culture
And here are some of the speakers taking part:
Mike Krieger – Instagram
Mike is the tech lead and co-founder of Instagram, as I’m sure you all know is a global community that shares more than 60 million photos every day. His job is to focus on building products that bring out the creativity in all of us. He designed and developed the app back in 2010 with Kevin Systrom and has spent the last few years scaling the engineering team into a 50+ person organisation, now within Facebook. A native of São Paulo, Brazil, Mike now lives in SF after much hassle over visas. He’s been heard to say that getting a working visa took longer than building Instagram!
Brady Forrest – Highway1
Brady is Vice President at Highway1, PCH’s incubator program. A prolific speaker and maker on the geek scene, Brady can be found inventing new forms of transportation at Burning Man, or creating in the Highway1 San Francisco workshop. Additionally, Brady writes for O’Reilly Radar, tracking changes in technology.
Heather Brunner – WP Engine
A 24 year technology veteran, Heather has built a career creating business value for both privately-funded new ventures and Fortune 500 companies. Heather served as COO of Bazaarvoice seeing all stages of early, rapid global growth, through to IPO and two acquisition integrations. Before Bazaarvoice, Heather served as president and CEO of Nuvo, a wholly owned subsidiary of Trilogy, and COO for B-Side (acquired by Slated), a privately funded entertainment technology company.
Mood Rowghani – KPCB
Mood Rowghani joined Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers in 2011. He focuses on investments in the firm’s digital practice, targeting high-growth Internet companies that have achieved strong adoption and scale.
Corinne Vigreux – TomTom
Corinne Vigreux is one of the four TomTom founders and has been Managing Director of its Consumer Business Unit since 2008. She has played an integral role in the creation and development of the company by leading its growth from a small organisation into a global player.
